Talented young artists from Geneagle Secondary School dazzled newcomers with their art work exhibit in Coquitlam. A tour of the Evergreen Cultural Centre was an “eye opener” for newcomer families who not only were impressed with the creativity of local youth but also the many art and music programs available for adults and children including spring and summer camps for young people. Going “backstage” in the centre’s theatre was exciting for us to learn about sound and light. A theatre venue; a music venue; a rehearsal hall; a centre for the arts in our local community; Evergreen has it all!
