Over 70 participants braced the autumn rain and came together at the Community Hall in Burnaby to attend the Newcomer Welcome Party on Tuesday, November 22, 2016. Chinese speaking immigrants enjoyed a very merry gathering at their home away from home in Canada on this night, made new friends, shared delicious homemade dishes and even competed in the inaugural SUCCESS Jeopardy game! With warm and light-hearted emceeing by SUCCESS ISIP staff and festive performances (musical and dances) provided by community volunteers, participants shared laughs, stories and a sense of community. This night to remember will hopefully be a prelude to more fond memories to come!
