As has been the tradition for many years, Surrey ISIP’s Childminders celebrated Halloween on October 31st by touring the LINC classes in costume. The costumes ranged from princesses, to witches, to pumpkins and superheroes. These children have fun while their parents learn English and with the help of our creative childminding staff also about various cultural traditions and celebrations that Canadians take part in throughout the year. Candies are prepared in advance so that LINC students and staff can participate in a “trick or treat” activity so that every child goes home with a few sweets at the end of the day. One of the best parts for staff and students alike is the song that is performed by the children and childminders that is presented in each classroom and to the staff team. So from the Surrey-Delta Service Centre to everyone else, we wish would like to say a very “Happy Halloween!!”
