Clients were very eager and excited to participate in this year’s Walk With Your Doc event which took place at Bear Creek Park on May 8th, 2019. Twenty three clients (including children) participated in the event learnt that walking is a great exercise that helps people lose weight, boost their immune system, look and feel younger and help support memory and the learning part of the brain by increasing blood flow that nourishes the tissues. This annual event encouraged participants to practice active living through a brief warm up session followed by a nice walk in the park with physicians. The weather was great and the participants engaged with each other and with other families enjoying the park as well. Many remarked that they need to incorporate walking in their daily activities especially since the weather is getting better now.
