Surrey’s popular Fusion Festival took place for its 12th year during the weekend of July 20th & 21st, 2019. It is a large 2-day community event which took place this year at Holland Park, and it celebrates the cultural diversity of the city of Surrey. Arabic- speaking newcomers visited the Festival and got to experience its different activities. The participants visited over three dozen cultural pavilions, showcasing different countries from Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, Latin America, Europe and North America. While some of them enjoyed tasting delicious food from different vendors, others approached different stages that showcased dancing, singing, live music and other family-friendly activities. The families and their children had an opportunity to discover some of the world’s most vibrant cultures. Attendees were able to experience cuisine from around the world from over 50 community-hosted cultural pavilions, as well as music and entertainment across seven stages.
