Volunteering for the Port Moody Rib Fest was fun and delicious!
Volunteering at the Port Moody Rib Fest gave me a chance to participate in my community in a new way. I loved seeing the children’s faces light up when they saw the face painting that I did for them. There was live music and when I had a chance to take a break, I had a chance to try delicious barbequed meats. People from across Canada came to compete over who had the best barbeque. They took this very seriously. But it was also so much fun and the children in the kid zone had a great time too. No matter what age, everyone enjoyed participating in the sports activities. There was a whole part of the event focussed on recycling and its impact on the environment.
