As Thanksgiving and autumn holidays closed in, we wanted to continue giving back to the community in meaningful ways, as well as demonstrate with our actions that we care about our neighbours.
A very special thanks to the Society to End Homelessness in Burnaby for providing a memorable volunteer opportunity for newcomers at the “Homeless Connect Day” on October 12, 2017! This annual event brings together essential items and service providers to where they are most needed: individuals who have been enduring persistent hardships, and having complex challenges meeting everyday needs (such as housing and personal care). Our newcomer volunteers provided full-day assistance to this dynamic event. The warm smiles shared all around were the highlight of our day!
