Richmond Community Day is a free event facilitated by Richmond residents for families. An opportunity for neighbours to meet!
Newcomer volunteers helped with the set-up, on-route direction and worked at the booths. We also helped to make popcorn for the participants. The line for popcorn was so long! Our neighbours really enjoyed that popcorn!
There were so many people! Around 1500 Richmond residents showed up on the event day and the North Plaza of Richmond Olympic Oval was packed with happy faces enjoying magic shows, live music, balloon animals, bouncy castles, sidewalk chalk art competition, Mike's Critters, presentation booths from local non-profits, RCMP Police car and free hot dogs, cotton candy, popcorn, ice cream and ice tea for everyone to sample!
