Our annual Champions of S.U.C.C.E.S.S. appreciation event was hosted at the SUCCESS Burnaby Service Centre on November 14th, 2019. We took this opportunity to recognize the contribution of all our volunteers, guest speakers and community partners who’ve provided invaluable support to our programming in 2019.
This year we held an informal, open house style celebration. For their appreciation and recognition, volunteers were presented with certificates, appreciation gifts, multicultural cuisine and opportunities to win raffle prizes. They also enjoyed some fun, interactive activities, (a Logo Treasure Hunt, Trivia Quiz and Superhero Photo booth).
The volunteers got to know more about our organization as they participated in these games. Lastly, we also had some very special guests drop by that included MLAs: Anne Kang, Janet Routledge, Katrina Chen, Raj Chouhan, City Councillor: James Wang and Burnaby’s Mayor Mike Hurley! It truly was a star filled evening of appreciation of our volunteers for their dedication and hard work towards making our services to the community so well received.
