My name is Dennia Wong. I came to Canada one year ago from Hong Kong. As a new immigrant, I needed help with my settlement journey. I came to SUCCESS for help. I met a very nice, patient and helpful Settlement Practitioner Kami. I got clear information on some basic information about Richmond and BC from her. And because of her, I joined the volunteer group and volunteered as a receptionist at their workshop every week at Richmond Library since March 2017. I also took the opportunity to attend many workshops which let me learn more about Canada.

In order to give back to the community, I joined the volunteer group visits in Minoru Residence to celebrate Mid-Autumn festival. During the visit, we played games with the residence and arranged singing/dancing performance to share our happiness.

I'm very happy that I have been one of the volunteers in "SUCCESS" because it is not only helping people but also helping myself to build up the new connection, new life in this place. I also believe "SUCCESS" is one the best organization to support new immigrants in Canada
