For newcomers to Canada, the realization of full participation in the economic, social and cultural dimensions of life cannot happen fully without welcoming communities. This includes community agencies that believe in the dismantling of barriers that lead to exclusion in these domains.
The Vancouver Public Library has partnered with SUCCESS for many years. VPL has widely promoted SUCCESS’s settlement services and events through their website and flyers distributed through their 22 branch libraries. In 2017 alone, VPL hosted 15 ISIP Vancouver workshops at their various locations, providing valuable opportunities for newcomers to access key settlement information, resources and programming.
