Working in BC as a cook, server, busser, dishwasher or deli worker means that a worker needs to know how to prepare and serve food safely. There is a specialized training that people can take called, “FoodSafe” and S.U.C.C.E.S.S. newcomers in Fort St. John had the chance to attend this training sponsored by Spectra Energy. Important food safety and worker safety information was provided in the training such as foodborne illness, receiving and storing food, preparing food, serving food, cleaning and sanitizing. This kind of training will look really good on their resumes!
