February is Black History Month – a month in which Canadians honor the legacy of black Canadians -past and present- recognizing their early settlement, the abolition of slavery and the significance of the Underground Railroad.  One of the events in Fort St. John involved S.U.C.C.E.S.S. newcomers partnering with the Pan African Caribbean Association, to celebrate with an international community kitchen.  Newcomers shared and swapped recipes from around the world and prepared and sampled dishes from Nigeria, the Philippines, Russia and Armenia. Yum!
