As a wrap up event for the Refugee Family Health & Wellness Service series, participants came together for a potluck picnic at Bear Creek Park in Surrey. The program for the day included a picnic potluck, a brief farewell ceremony where certificates were handed out to participants, and ended with a walk around the park. This was a great way to end the series as it provided the participants an avenue to engage with one another in an informal setting and lots of delicious food!

At the end of the program the participants came out with a wealth of knowledge about health related topics and empowered them to become more in touch with their health wellbeing.
As one participant said: “The Refugee Family Health & Wellness Program gave me the tools to better take care of my family!”
